A.Ş News & Announcements Thu, 22 Sep 2011 01:00:00 +0100 Active Zinc Oxide http://www.egekimya.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=351&Itemid=252&lang=en In recent years, active zinc oxide has started to have an increasing use as a replacement of conventional zinc oxide.  It is perscribed as a high surface area, wet process zinc oxide.  The biggest advantage of active zinc oxide is its strenghtening effect due to its high surface area and low impurity properties.  Aside to these advantages, active zinc oxide is dispersed extremely well in rubber formulations thanks to its small particle size.  As a result of these properties, active zinc oxide can be used at a 50% ratio of zinc oxide in natural rubber and 40-60% ratio of zinc oxide in EPDM rubber.
