SOLAR POWER PLANT INVESTMENT FROM EGE KİMYA
Ege Kimya, a leading company in its sector with 70 years of commitment to nature and the environment, is establishing its own Solar Power Plant as part of its continued investments in technology and sustainability. This project marks a significant step toward achieving carbon neutrality in the near future.
As Ege Kimya prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary, the new Solar Power Plant will be built on a 72-decare land in Uşak, with an installed capacity of 7 MW and an investment cost of 5 million USD. The plant is designed not only to fully meet the company’s current electricity consumption through renewable energy, but also to cover the increased demand expected in the coming years due to capacity expansions.
With the commissioning of the Solar Power Plant investment, Ege Kimya will supply 100% of its electricity consumption from this renewable energy source. The project aims to completely eliminate emissions caused by electricity usage and prevent approximately 5,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. This reduction corresponds to the carbon offset capacity of 250,000 trees each year.
Through this investment, Ege Kimya continues to reinforce its leadership in the industry by contributing to both environmental and economic sustainability. The solar power plant clearly demonstrates the company’s commitment to environmentally friendly energy sources and its contribution to a sustainable future.
