Ege Kimya, one of the precurors of the chemical industry in Turkey, was established in 1955 by Mr. Ali MANSUR and his partners. It began its activities with production of products aimed at import. The first production of many industrial chemical products of Turkey was originally undertaken by Ege Kimya which started with a production of sodium silicate and paint driers, followed by enamel frits, zinc oxide, pigments, catalyst raw materials and polyester resins.
As part of this growth,
Egesil Kimya was founded as a JV with the Evonik-Degussa in group in Germany
to produce precipitated silicas for the group's worldwide operation.
