Recognized for its commitment to nature and the environment for 70 years, and as one of the leading companies in its industry through continuous investments in technology and sustainability, Ege Kimya has successfully commissioned its Solar Power Plant (SPP) investment. This milestone represents another significant step toward the company’s carbon neutrality goals.

Built on a 72-decare (approximately 178-acre) site in the province of Uşak, the Solar Power Plant was designed to meet 100% of Ege Kimya’s current electricity demand through renewable energy sources while also supporting the company’s future energy requirements as production capacity continues to grow. With a total investment of approximately USD 5 million, the facility has an installed capacity of 7 MW.

Following the commissioning of the Solar Power Plant in January 2025, Ege Kimya began sourcing 100% of its electricity consumption from renewable energy. Through this investment, the company aims to eliminate all greenhouse gas emissions associated with its electricity consumption and prevent approximately 5,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. This reduction is equivalent to the environmental benefit of the carbon sequestration provided by approximately 250,000 trees each year.
