Ege Kimya strengthened its position in the sector by acquiring Metal Oksit

Ege Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş., a leading company in the chemical industry with a 70-year history, has added another significant link to its growth strategy by acquiring 100% of the shares of Metal Oksit Kimya San. A.Ş. The acquisition process was successfully completed after obtaining the necessary official approvals.

Founded in Istanbul in 1975 and being Turkey’s first zinc oxide producer, Metal Oksit has a well-established position in the sector with its facilities producing using French processes. Having moved to its modern facilities in Kocaeli/GEBKİM OSB in 2015, the company significantly increased its production capacity and product range.

Ege Kimya offers a wide range of products including metal salts, carboxylates, silicates, rubber, and construction chemicals at its advanced facilities in Sakarya; and continues its global growth by exporting to more than 70 countries. With this acquisition, Ege Kimya aims to expand its product portfolio while also increasing the export potential of Metal Oxide. Thanks to the established corporate culture, customer-focused approach, and quality commitment of both companies, the merger is expected to create synergies.

During the acquisition process, Ege Kimya received legal and financial consultancy services from Paksoy Law Firm, Actecon, and Dome Group; while Metal Oksit received legal and financial consultancy services from Attorney Fevzi Doğan and Certified Public Accountant Göktuğ Göktaş.
