Zirconium Carboxylate
EGEDry® Zirconium series are through driers which promote drying in the body of the film.
Zirconium carboxylates are good alternatives to Lead carboxylates.
EGEDry® Zirconium series also offers a suitable drier for water-based alkyds.
A balanced loading of Zirconium carboxylates will give the required drying time, and reduce loss of gloss and wrinkling.

Stronium Carboxylate
(i) overbased, and (ii) neutral;
Overbased strontium carboxylate reaches higher metal percentages than neutral strontium carboxylate.
Both strontium carboxylates are through driers.
Neutral strontium carboxylates are less sensitive to humid environments in terms of their nature and, neutral strontium carboxylates can be used in high humidity applications.
EGEDry® Strontium series promote through drying, help prevent haze, loss of gloss and wrinkling. Strontium carboxylates are excellent, less toxic alternatives to lead carboxylates.
Overbased Strontium carboxylates are alternatives to Zirconium carboxylates (metal for metal) and Lead Carboxylates (3 parts Sr metal replace 10 parts Lead metal).
