Cobalt Carboxylate

EGEDry® & Durham Noudex Cobalt carboxylates have low viscosity, blue-violet colour dissolved in hydrocarbon solvents suited for the end users’ needs.

EGEDry® Cobalt Series

EGEDry® & Durham Noudex Cobalt series, octoates and neodecanoates, are widely used as paint driers.They support rapid surface drying as primary oxidative driers. They enhance resistance to heat, humidity, and corrosion.

Polymeric Cobalt Carboxylate

EGEDry® Prime series are proprietary blue-violet coloured cobalt carboxylates in polymeric form. The urethanised cobalt polymers are supplied in suitable solvents for the end users needs. In polymeric cobalt carboxylates the cobalt is a part of the polymeric structure thus reducing the toxic effect of the cobalt whilestill exhibiting the same performance.

EGEDry® Prime series are primary oxidative driers which exhibit rapid surface drying.

EGEDry® Prime series are REACH exempt and so there is no requirement for labelling.

It has low toxicity as a result of bioavailability.

New Cobalt Free Alternative Nuodex DryCoat Neo

Nuodex DryCoat Neo is an innovative drier system based on a manganese-amine complex, offering a sustainable and high-performance alternative to cobalt in alkyd-based systems.
This cobalt free catalyst eliminates toxicity concerns. It is an effective primary drier.

Iron Carboxylate

EGEDry® & Durham Iron series are low viscosity, red-brown coloured Iron carboxylate driers for coatings, based on saturated branched synthetic acids in hydrocarbon solvents suited for the end users’ needs.

Iron carboxylates are primary driers, especially effective above 60 °C.

Manganese Carboxylate

EGEDry® & Durham Manganese series are low viscosity, red-brown coloured manganese carboxylate driers for coatings, based on saturated branched synthetic acids in hydrocarbon solvents suited for the end users’ needs.

Manganese carboxylates are the primary driers used with EGEDry® Cobalt series to promote cobalt performance at ambient temperature.

Manganese carboxylates are alternatives to cobalt carboxylates.

Storage

It should be stored in cool and dry places below 30°C. Since it is a product that oxidizes easily, packages should not be open during storage. Shelf life is 60 months from the production date.
